Buying & Supplier Management
Unilever has developed and owns a unique tea categorisation language TEALINGO. You will be required to use this language to align with the global tea network and finally the customer requirements.
You will need to have good analytical skills and make use of forecasting tools and software in order to facilitate the availability and price forecasting and historical trend analysis.
Good negotiation skills and communication skills will help you when required to disseminate global Unilever quality, product safety and sustainability initiatives to suppliers and auditing them against these standards.
Blending & Co -packer management
In Blend management, we own and manage the blend specifications against which the tea items are purchased to finally blend and achieve the given specification; thereby meeting the customer’s end requirement.
Optimised blend management and flexibility is also an integral part of this process whereby the Tea Division can deliver competitively priced alternates to customers at different windows of opportunity.
You would also be required to support our third party blending and warehousing operations.
Here you will focus on providing our customers with an excellent service with on time and in full delivery of their requirements.
Further a good rapport with the customer and understanding of each requirement and customer needs; timely responses to their queries and complaints should there be any; and timely communication of competitor and market activity in order to enable the customer to make an informed decision are necessary elements of customer service.
