We take great pride in our internship program which was officially launched in 2008. Through it we hope to provide you with the opportunity to experience our company through active involvement.
If a successful career in the corporate world is what you dream of, we will help you achieve it. Our programme is structured in a way that will groom you and equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to get a head start in your career.
The Program
Our induction process will give you a clear idea of how Unilever Sri Lanka functions. You will then move into a 6 month project in one of our many functions which include Marketing, Sales (CD), Finance, Supply Chain (Manufacturing), Human Resources, IT and Tea Division. You also will have the opportunity to engage in a CSR project. During the course of the internship you will be evaluated regularly and there will be a final board evaluation at the end of the programme. Interns who are rated as high performers may have the opportunity of being fast tracked to our management trainee programme.
Real Job, Real Responsibilities
In essence the internship is a compact, six month version of our coveted two year management trainee program. You will be given real assignments with real responsibilities which will give you the opportunity to sharpen your skills.
Could it be you?
We are looking for all-rounder’s who are 24 years or younger and have completed the 2nd year of an academic degree at a recognized university or institute. A fully or part completed professional qualification along with participation in extra curricular activities will be an added advantage.
Upon being selected, managers in the function of your choice will conduct a preliminary interview and the shortlisted candidates will be invited for a final interview. We conduct 2 intakes of interns every year. You can find more information on this site and in the newspapers.
